Human lovers and fellow soldiers Ellis (Moore) and Victor (Elba) are both passionately distrustful of vampires, and fight on the front while talking trash about their blood-hungry comrades. But when one day, seemingly out of nowhere, Victor volunteers for the vampire recruitment drive, he abandons Ellis, who is left heartbroken and vulnerable. He barely makes it off the front alive, and then vows to find out why his partner turned. Victor, newly turned, is thrust into command and the hedonistic life of a vampire, with all the privilege and benefits it offers. When he realises Ellis is coming to find him, he does everything he can to stop him, and protect him from the powers that would see him eliminated. In a world of fighting and blood, two people fight to save the one they love, as war threatens to tear apart everything they are. over here crying because this ain’t real.
